Famous Korean artist has given Krasnoyarsk Red Lotus
On June, 29 within the III Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival of Asian-Pacific region in Mira Square in front of the Krasnoyarsk Museum Centre there has "blossomed" a huge kinetic flower. Its creator is a Korean artist Choi Jeong-Hwa said, presenting the Krasnoyarsk public his art project: "Art is what exists in real life, it comes from Nature. So for my project I have taken a flower as a basis. This image is understandable to children and the elderly. It symbolizes the arts for everybody. "
Lotus is a sacred flower in Eastern culture. It appears very pure on the surface of the water. According to the author of the installation, Man, like the flower, is able to keep mental clarity and unturbidity.
The second project, created by the artist for the III Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival of Asian-Pacific region, has a poetic name "Your heart is my art." The building of KATEK is decorated by the artist with bright fabrics of colours of the national Korean costume. The same colours are used in the state flags of the participating countries of the festival.
For information: Choi Jeong Hwa is a famous artist from South Korea, working in the field of Public Art and Design. His personal exhibitions were held in almost all major cities around the world: London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney, New York. These both projects, presented by the author in Krasnoyarsk, have been first exhibited in Russia.
