One of the best in the world Madame Butterfly performed in Krasnoyarsk
On July, 1 one of the world's best performers in the role of Madame Butterfly performed in Krasnoyarsk. Within the III Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival of Asian-Pacific region on the stage of the State Opera and Ballet House there was shown the opera "Madame Butterfly" by G. Puccini.
The opera is based on a tragic life story of a Japanese girl, unable to withstand the cruel circumstances of life: a 15-year-old geisha, nicknamed for her beauty and elegance Cio-Cio-San (Butterfly) fell in love with an American officer Pinkerton, who killed her.
The title role in the opera was performed by a young Japanese singer Yuriko Nonaka, who won the title of the best singer at the IX international opera competition “Madame Butterfly”.
"Operas by Giacomo Puccini are ones of my favourite, especially "Madame Butterfly,"- says Yuriko Nonaka. - It's a peculiar opera with Japanese color, which allows fully realize the abilities. In my work I tried to reflect the spirit and beauty of Japanese culture for the audience to be filled with the charm of this opera."
We’ll add, that a soloist of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Mongolia Regzen Dorjkhorol participated in the performance and sang the role of Suzuki. The orchestra was led by the Principal Conductor of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Mongolia, the Honoured Art Worker Nyamaa Tuulaikhuu (Mongolia).
