Soul of Japan sounds in the old Koto of Nanae Yoshimura

On June, 29 within the III Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival of Asian-Pacific region in the Small hall of the Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Music and Theatre a recital of Nanae Yoshimura took place.
Nanae Yoshimura is a unique performer of traditional Japanese music, one of the few who is perfect at the art of playing the koto. The history of this stringed musical instruments played by plucking is more than a thousand years.
In the program of the two-act concert on 13-string and more modern 20-string koto includes works by Japanese composers. Nanae Yoshimura was accompanied by the principal cellist of the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra, a participant of international competitions Ilya Nikolayev.
In conclusion, Nanae performed a dedicated to her composition by a contemporary Japanese composer Akira Nashimura.
