The inauguration of the III Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival of Asian-Pacific Region has taken place in Mira Square
Today, in Mira Square near the Big Concert Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Society the inauguration of the III Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival of Asian-Pacific Region took place.
About 500 artists from 19 countries - Australia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Korea, Mexico, Mongolia, Singapore, the U.S.A., Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, the Philippines, Japan, Russia participated in the official parade. Each country-participant of the festival greeted the audience and some delegations presented short but brilliant musical and dance numbers. The highest point of the solemn moment was the merging of water from amphorae of each country into the Bratina - a symbolic vessel – which was set on the stage. Later the water from the Bratina will merge with the water of the Yenisei as a symbol of unity and friendship of the nations of the participating countries.
In the speech of welcome to guests and spectators Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Krai Lev Kuznetsov expressed the confidence that on the days of the Festival "Krasnoyarsk will plunge entirely into the world of art, the world with no borders and where people speak the same language." He also said: "I am very pleased to see many young artists. The youth will build our future. I would like them to build it together. "
At the end of the ceremony there was hoisted the festival flag and at fireworks and flying up into the sky hundreds of balloons the III Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival was declared open.
The holiday went on with a concert of Russian and foreign participants of the festival.
