The title roles in "Giselle" were performed by soloists from China
On June, 30 on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet House there was shown the ballet by Adolphe Adam "Giselle". This is the second performance of the theater, which was included into the programme of the III Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival of the Asian-Pacific region.
The ballet "Giselle" is an outstanding example of romantic Russian ballet, which tells about the power of love able to withstand even death. The plot is based on an old legend about Wilis - young girls who died before their wedding.
According to theater critics, it is one of those stagings, where the professionalism of soloists can be rated. It requires classically clean corps de ballet and very high level of performance of the leading parties. Dramatic character of the main personages requires a strong emotional output and the highest level of acting.
Soloists of the National Ballet of China were invited for the title roles in the ballet "Giselle". Giselle - Cao Shutsy, the Gold Medal holder of the international ballet competition in the U.S. (2010) - the most prestigious competition in the world of ballet dancers. The role of the Earl Albert was performed by Sheng Shidun, he is also a winner of different awards at international competitions. The conductor was the Honored Art Worker Burenbeh Zhagvaral (Mongolia).
