Today a concert of choirs from Costa-Rica, Mexico and Russia took place in the Small Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic.
Music by West European composers sounded first. All works were performed by the united choir of the three countries under the conducting of Merited Master of Arts of Russia Konstantin Jacobson. Then a soloist of the Choir “Coro de Camara Sura” Marcia Matirrita Varela from Costa-Rica performed for the Krasnoyarsk citizens and guests.  Love songs of Latin American and European composers sounded in the performance of the Costa-Rican singer.
The members of the choir «Normalista» devoted their performance to acquaint the public with the song legacy of Mexico. This autumn the choir will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The artistes repeatedly represented their country's art at major choral forums in Europe, the USA and Russia. One of the most notable events in their creative career was the performance in the Vatican in front of Pope John Paul II.
The final part of the concert united cultures of the three countries. The joint creative group was conducted by Altiero Jorge Hernandez from Mexico and Angela Maria Cordero from Costa-Rica. The two last songs were performed in Russian. There also sounded the Russian folk song "Kalinka" and a passage from Mikhail Glinka's opera "A Life for the Tsar" under the direction of Konstantin Jacobson.
The second concert “Choral music without limits” of creative groups from Costa-Rica, Mexico and Russia will take place on July, 2 at the Big Concert hall of the Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Music and Theatre at 19:00.
