Concert of the leading opera soloists “Voices of Asia” took place in the Small Concert Hall in Krasnoyarsk
The concert program "Voices of Asia" presented a constellation of masters and talented young soloists of opera houses from different countries of the Asia- Pacific region. 11 artistes from Uzbekistan, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Russia demonstrated their vocal mastery.
The participants of the project are outstanding performers, winners of international competitions. Among them there is Honored Artist of Mongolia Amartuvshin Enkhbat. Opera fans have remembered his magnificent baritone since the APFestival of 2012. From Uzbekistan there came Barno Ismatullaeva, an ascending star with wonderful soprano. In low register her voice sounds like a cello; her middle register reminds an oboe and the high one – a flute. Kazakhstan was represented by Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, the State Prize winner, Professor of the National Conservatory Shahimardan Abilov.
In the programme of the concert there sounded popular arias and fragments from classical operas by European and Russian composers. For example, Choi Chol Zin (the DPRK) performed Prince Gremin aria from Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin." The final number of the program was the performance of "Drinking Song" from Verdi's "La Traviata" by all participants of the concert.
The Festival of the Asia-Pacific region will last in Krasnoyarsk till July, 4.
