The exhibition "The sun rises in the East" opened in the House of Artist

Today in the House of Artist there was the opening of the exhibition "The sun rises in the East." This is one of the projects of the IV Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival of the Asia-Pacific region. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk region Tatiana Veselina and Vice Chairman of the Education, Culture and Sports Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Region Tatiana Volotkevich.
There are exhibited about 60 works of painting, graphic art and sculpture. They reproduce the impressions of Russian artists from their trips to the countries of Southeast Asia: India, China, Thailand, Mongolia, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, and Nepal. Moreover, the exhibition includes some works of the festival guests - Vietnamese artists Van Bai Quang, Wang Jun and Le Van Diu. Their paintings attract attention by organic merging of the European school and traditions of the Vietnamese lacquer painting.
Tatiana Veselina said in her welcome address: "This exhibition is unique because artists perceive the culture, the spirit and the mentality of other countries, in turn letting each of us get to know the uniqueness and originality of life of this or that country."
Each artist embodies the experience of travel in the creation in his own way. Visitors can see the sculptural images of inhabitants of Asian countries created by Victor Mosielev and Alexander Baraanm, fantasy works by Alexei Beda on the themes of the Mongolian culture, abstracted associations created by impressed by Nepal Nikolai Rybakov. Sergei Forostovsky and Eugenij Pikhtivkikov brought a natural cycle of studies from Vietnam. The creation of Alexander Pokrovsky was presented by portraits, landscapes and genre artworks painted by him during and after the trip to India.
"When you get to Asia, your mind is changing. This is a different color, a different colouring, a different nature. Impressions of these changes are reflected in the presented here works, "- said a member of the Union of Artists of Russia Sergei Forostovsky.
The exhibition will be open until July, 14. The exposition is located in the halls of the House of Artist (Mira St., 56) from 10.00 to 18.00 daily.
